Club Racer Show – HPD 1.5-liter Honda Fit engine / Interview with Indycar Driver Simona De Silvestro

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

HPD now offers the 1.5-liter Honda Fit engine to racers planning to run in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Formula F competition. The L15A7 engine in FF form is intended to provide open-wheel racers with a modern, fuel-injected design offering superior service life, increased availability and lower operating costs. As one of the initial offerings in its new grassroots motorsports initiative, Honda Performance Development, Inc. (HPD), the authorized Honda and Acura auto racing company in North America, enters into an SCCA Club Racing program with an eye toward lowering operating costs, while strengthening FF’s position as the first step in American open-wheel racing. “FF has a tremendous history, here in North America and around the world. Through the ’70s and ’80s, it was THE place for open-wheel racers to ‘cut their racing teeth’,” said Erik Berkman, President of Honda Performance Development. “So many champion drivers, such as our own Jimmy Vasser, Gil de Ferran and Bryan Herta, got their start in FF. Our goal is not to force competitors to make a change, but to make FF more affordable and more competitive.” The Honda FF engine has been developed by Honda Performance Development in cooperation with Sandy Shamlian of Quicksilver RacEngines. The engine is being developed to equal the performance of the Kent powerplant through utilization of an HPD-developed intake restrictor plate and appropriately mapped Engine Control Unit (ECU). How to install GrafiXpressions Honda Fit Taillight Tints

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012

We’re now offering taillight overlays pre-cut for the new Honda Fit! These overlays cover the majority of the taillight and are a bit more difficult to install than our normal Honda Civic coupe/sedan taillight overlays. We rushed through the installation process to give you a better understanding of how to install the GRFXP Honda Fit taillight overlays. (yah, we didn’t do the best job, but we didn’t want this to be a 10 minute video!) Installation will be much easier if you have a friend helping you, soap/water solution and a hairdryer or low power heat gun is also needed. Keep in mind, we sell vinyl by the foot on our website (or in our new storefront), so no matter what vehicle you have, you can purchase our vinyl tint and install them yourself! You can purchase our vinyl by the foot here: grfxpstore.com Thanks for watching, and definitely check us out at www.grafixpressions.com

2009 Honda Fit Sport 5AT Start Up, Quick Tour, & Rev – 205K (High Milage Update)

Thursday, March 29th, 2012

2009 Honda Fit Sport This little Fit goes weep weep with a 1.5L i-VTEC 4 cyl which pumps out 117 HP to the front wheels through a 5 speed auto This vid is more of a high mileage update as I’ve done Fits b4. Unreal that this tiny thing ran 205K & surprisingly it’s help up quite well. Looked ready to tackle it’s next 100K lol. The manual would be most fun but one of the biggest complaints even in the 2012 model is the road noise, stiff ride, & the absence of a 6th gear as at 80 MPH the engine will be soaring at 4000 RPM. I’ve heard the engine is more at rest with the auto but then it really slows down the car.
